School life involved a lot more than sitting in a classroom for 45 minutes. The students always look forward to the bell ringing so they can spend four minutes running around trying to get a couple of words in with their friends before going to their next class. For most of the students. the best part of the day is lunch where they spend a half hour socializing and of course. PIGGING OUT!!

The Arts What Our School Is All About! The Arts play a great role in our school. We depend on the Arts at New Castle High not only for entertainment but also for giving the students a chance to get away from their academic subjects to express their creativity. Our school was honored this year in several ways. Our Marching Band was accepted after five long years of waiting to perform at Three Rivers Stadium for halftime during a Pittsburgh Steeler Football game. New Castle Area District was also invited by The Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts to gather some of the best artwork to display for a show open to the public. Our faculty, student body, and people in the community support all the activities here at New Castle High. The Arts are a second nature to us here at New Castle, and without them New Castle High School would not be the same. (1) In the industrial arts room several students work steodiy on their layouts.
