Mr. Schlumberger is retiring after 30 years of teaching in the Language and Social Studies departments at New Castle. He also has been an advisor for the Pergodian staff since 1961. The Pergodian staff would like to thank Mr. Schlumberger for all his patience and time he has devoted to the yearbook. We would also like to wish Mr. Schlumberger a happy retirement. In Memoriam Miss Dorothy Young Miss Young died this past April 12,1984. She had been employed by the New Castle Area School District for 42 years until her retirement in 1978. Her many areas of work for the school district were teaching at George Washington Jr. High and in Business Education at New Castle Sr. High. She also was a Guidance Counselor and Assistant Principal at New Castle Sr. High School from 1962 until she retired in 1978.
