Foreword As the seasons change the world of nature, so do they change our lives. In the Fall the animals scamper around to store food for the winter. At this time of year, we return to school to store knowledge that will last a lifetime. In the Winter the world of nature seems motionless. We, however, are anything but still. We go about everything— studying, activities, sports, and dating— with a new vigor. As Spring arrives the earth is reawakened. Buds and blossoms burst into being once more. Now we find that we, too, are awakened as our lives burst forth. Graduation, like Spring, brings a new outlook to our lives. May this book serve as a reminder of Ne-Ca-Hi as we look back on our friends and activities through the Fall, Winter, and Spring of 1959. 4

DEDICATION We, the Senior Class of 1959, dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Gerhard K. Schlumberger who was our friend as well as our advisor throughout our three years at Ne-Ca-Hi. He was always a patient and wise guide and an understanding counselor. He sympathized with us in our troubles, rejoiced in our achievements, and backed us in our many ventures.
