Get a job! Many students realized this and found employment in nu- merous places. Vocational programs assisted seniors in finding several types of jobs during school hours, and others found work on their own during weekends and after school. Whether it was sacking groceries at a local grocery or taking a patient's pulse at the hospital, experience was gained that will aid the students of C.H.S. in their lives ahead. Jim Baker left the States on June 17 for Bangkok, Thailand. While in Bangkok, Jim lived with Mr. Sonoah Komolopis and his son, Kai. Jim was able to attend school while there, but only as an observer. He commented that the difference be- tween rules here and in Bangkok was very noticeable. The strictness of the instructors at Bangkok's school surprised Jim. Many students noticed Jim's loss of weight on his return. Jim felt this was due to his lack of appetite when he was served such dishes as squid, chicken heads, and bamboo soup. Jim really enjoyed his visit and was glad for the experience and opportu- nity given to him by the AFS fAmeri- can Field Servicej.
