The banging of machinery in the basement, our voices in recita- tion on the main floor, and the blare of our musical instruments on the third floor made the school alive with noises. The routine of classes was broken by field trips and special events for all of us. There's no privacy for this chicken, for he is under the observation of Mr. Furbee and his ag boys, Gerald Winningham, Eldon Crabtree, Steve White, Jim Hollan, and Ronnie Broyles. Movie operators like Paul Hardwick and Fred Over were a welcome sight to students who enioy learning visually. Dramatizations of famous novels, scientific and vocational films, and many strip films were available to classes.

Our final year in N.H.S. was crammed with special activi- ties and special places, too. Sports, convocations, parties, club proiects, and dances added color to our last year in this building. Athletic and cultural groups made many evenings memorable, and the part we all had in parades and convocations brought us to- gether in true Trojan spirit. Basketball fans got a real treat last fall when the hoop ace, Goose Tatum, and his All- Stars came to town. Kent Kinert, George Hines, and Bill Upchurch, Troian boll stars, are about to ask Goose some of the tricks of the trade. Its Big Event Climax Its Final Year The Pom-Pom Girls, a newly organized pep group, mode their first appearance at the last home basketball game. Dressed in green and white and carrying Trojan shakers, they entertained at half-time. Members are Patty Allen, Sharon Callis, Carol Davis, Bonnie Jones, Kathleen Costello, and Betty Harris. The Singing Hoosiers of Indiana University came to New Castle in February, and a party for seniors who plan to attend I.U. was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Danielson. Discussing music at the university are John Beyer, Linda Robinson, Dr. George Krueger, conductor, Nancy Bond, and Mr. Danielson,
