progress through knowledge Educational radio station WYSN, now in its fourth year of actual broadcast, was one means of relating to the community the work being done in the high school, as well as giving students the opportunity to manage and operate their own studio. Working hand in hand with the radio sta- tion were the PHOENIX, ROSENNIAL, and news release staffs, whose main purpose, also, was to help strengthen public rela- tions. The little square sign on the back of the school car which reads New Castle High School Student Driver signified that a just Iearning driver was behind the wheel. This was only one of many classes which prepared students for their adult responsibilities. W.Y,S.N., Your Schools in New Castle, with studios located in the high school building . . . Warming up for this daily routine are Dick Lange, John Hanning, and Jenny Miller, W.Y.S N. staff members. preparing the future Commencement in the Church Street Gyml lt's practically a tradition for N HS seniors to graduate in the crackerbox g but the time has come when larger facilities are needed to accommodate the increasing number of seniors and guests. Yes, this year in New Castle High School has been a crowded one, crowded in many ways. Our days were crowded with classes, teachers, and friends . . . which are depicted in the People sec- tion beginning on page 20. Sports, beginning on page 62, also were important in our lives, as we crowded to the gym and athletic field to back our Trojan teams. With Activities on page 84, and Clubs on page 106 came extra-curricular and social activities. On page 126 is the section of our Advertisers, whom we patronized throughout the year, thus completing our picture story of l955.
