The Three R's prevailed in N.H.S. no matter how crowded we were, and besides learning our assignments from books, we also took maior steps toward growing up. Participating in vigorous campaigns, serving on election boards, and support- ing our favorite candidates for Student Council, Purdue Legislature, and class of- ficers acquainted us with the responsibili- ties of conscientious citizens. Such activities as E.l.B. Day and Career Day played an important part in creating friendly and understanding relationships between the students, faculty, and the members of the community, thus helping us realize that the school is a very im- portant part of our community. progress through knowledge Educational radio station WYSN, now in its fourth year of actual broadcast, was one means of relating to the community the work being done in the high school, as well as giving students the opportunity to manage and operate their own studio. This was only one of many classes which prepared students for their adult responsibilities. W.Y,S.N., Your Schools in New Castle, with studios located in the high school building . . .
