Encouraging the team all the way were the Macerettes w o kept up the spirit of the fans. Posters scattered throughout the halls, skits at pep sessions, music each morning before classes, and pep rallies led by the cheerleaders and Stinkers helped make sportsmanship better than ever this year. Encouraged by Mr. Redman and the Student Council, the iunior and senior officers planned activities to show the team we were behind them win or lose. Even though we didn't win the final game of the sectional we lost victoriously when we received an A rating for sportsmanship.

Not many people would like NHS if it were all work and no play. Fortunately there is a lighter side where everyone enioys himself. The big dance, that special date, or lust friendly get-togethers added much to our school year. Harvest Hop, Holiday Hop, Hearts Hop, Prom, and the Senior Night Club Party added glamour to our social life. We dressed up for special occasions when we honored our favorite people, best girls, ideal ladies, and our parents. .lorry Childs, Jack Roach, and .lim Stout, keep- ing up with the latest fads, stop to tall: for a minute between classes. Pat Adams, Yvonne Bales, Melvin Reece, and Ronnie Reeves relax at the canteen. luflif -'7 X 17
