QUX LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We, the Class of !47, being of sound mind, body and memory, so hereby make, publish, declare, and swear this to be our last will and testament hereby revoking .any will or wills heretofore make by us, Article I----To Mr. Ward, we leave tthe sorrowful thought that New Carlisle High School if los?ng a. great bunch of kids who have lent much dignity, esteem, and honor to the best high school in bei Olive Township, Article-Ii---To Mr. Carr, we leave our appreciation and to him also, do we endow our heartfelt sorrow thst his personal conferences with us are over----- tears and all, Article III--To the faculty, ıwe will all the patience we could muster! You'll need it if you expect to teach those awful Juniors. Article IV---To Jeff and Ray, our faithful janitors,we will our unused elbow grease that they may use it to polish off our lovely works of art from the desks and tables in the school, Article V----To the Freshmen, we bequeath our love and best wishes for three more happy years in school, To the promising, aspiring Sophs, we leave our ability to make A's in our work and our ability to be where we are expected to be at the proper time. To the unassuming, easy-going Juniors ournear- est of kin, we leave our very orderly lockers and our dignified behavior in the halls, Also, the ability to make our teachers love us one and all. Article VI---To Betty, that efficient office girl, we be- queath one pair of new roller skates and one deluxe scooter to aid in her many excursions about the building.--(Just charge 'em, Betty.) Our president, who wes Don Jesswein, gsve us an add- ress during the prom, “ther officers were; Vics-President, Bill Yroxell: Secretary, Marilyn Wilson: Treasurer, Phil Dam. WINTER M INTER The leaves scatter and fall, the snow decends, and a 1 1 gather around the crackling flames, and so we enter th e senior year. Yes, winter is rugged, and so are the seniors-----rugged in their might. To rounä-cut a full program several members of our class were active in band and many were enrolied in elubs, A t the spring opsn-house program our class ccnducied a 73 table discussion and our dramatics class presented ap lay in which three girls p.eyeú male roles, The class play Ever Since Eve with Miriam Campbell and Phil Parry carrying entertaining roles was well received by the audience. : As for athletics----- with two seniors, Nancy Canaday and Judy Kleine giving out with the pep and cheer as yell-lead- ers---Well, we did O,K, Pep Club and G.A.A. had fine sen- ior representation, This year included formal dances, sport dances and blue jean dances. We wustn!t forget to mention in the Line of dances, the prom to which the juniors invited us apprecia- tive seniors, It was e wonderful prom and was held at the Spaulding Hotel, Michigen city, May 3, 1947, Lovely cor- sages of roses, glads, carnations. and even orchids were : a feature of the evening, At least fifteen orchids enhanced the lovely gowns of gemsrous. locking girls, ; This time ws electiva Lewis Mounts, as President: C alr 1 Takacs, as Vice=presidens; Secretary, Norma Ga Lang Treasurer, 72 Wissen, And now the four long years Have passed; the freshmon of 1945 are seniors of 1947.
