CHEF'S CLUB Aspirants to the almost extinct art of masculine cooking are banding together, this year, in the Chef's Club. On the appoint- ed days ovens blaze in the Home Economics department at 7:30 a.m. Advising the chefs is Mrs. Dixon, who makes sure the poached eggs find their way from pan to plate without first greeting the floor. The boys in the organization are not without responsibilities. The complete set- ting of the table - in a some- what distinct style - and the cleaning of dishes are highlights of the meetings. The supreme test is the consumption of food by the chefs themselves. Kneeling: Pat O'Neill, Jim Gould. Standing: Mrs. Dixon, Geoffrey Stelling, Dick Liberatore, Adam Ross, Dave Chase, Bob Montgomery. 5 fwsmaas f. 1- f H... , ww f . 'i,'gL1ji gifs 1. ,u A ' 4 1 7 N F g I .. .f is . Left to Right: Pat Sheane, Judy Harris, Pam Ghents, Lynn Fleck, Donna Holly, Carol Sanders. THESPIANS This year's Thespian Club has concerned itself with learning the rudiments of the stage. Mr. Lewis, the club sponsor, directs his young ac- tors in acting techniques, and he plans visits to professional productions so the club mem- bers may get hints. DEBATING Someone jumps and says, I have the floor. Remarkable brilliancy in speech is the weapon of Mr. Reid's debators. During afternoon hours, these peaceable negotiators divide themselves into teams, and the battle begins. The fastest, cleverest talkers win. At times, New Canaan debators are challenged to a duel with another town, giving them a chance to prove their skill. Kneeling, Left to Right: Kay Davis, Sandy Conner, Linda Terana, Gail Johnson, Barbara Rol- lin, Marty Drum, Sue Davis. Standing: Mr. Lewis, Pat Foster, Lynn Korbel, Sharon Hayden, Eileen Bak, Pam McClure, Cynthia Zimkus, Andrea Romako, Dick Liberatore.
