Now, almost every one in the school can tell you that this year's team had a T2-3-3 record and contended in the New England Hockey Tourney. This year has definitely been the climax for the senior hockeymen who, ever since that first day three years ago, have been looking forward to the time when hockey would become a regular school sport. Although the team will be losing many of its old standbys, a prece- dent will have been set that will stand for many years, and hockey will grow even more, This season, only 38 goals were scored against us, while we scored 80 goals against some of the roughest opposition in the state, losing only to Amity, Wilbur Cross, and Darien. Of these eighty goals, many were scored in the final period of o tense game. Dave Elders led the team with 22 goals, Dave Talmage CCaptainJ scored l2, Steve Grover- aux followed with lO, and Chip Silloway added 'lO. Dave Heerdt, Pete Dixon, and Bill Keller increased the total point output with 6, 6, and 4, respectively. As we look back on our years at NCHS, the senior hockey players will remember the year when they had a 12-3-3 record and almost went Pete, Steve to the hockey tournament.
