MARJORIE BAIER Department Head What a day! The Girls' Physical Education Department strives to develop physical fitness by stressing coordination, poise and grace through sports and exercise. Active participation in competitive sports among classes has instilled in us a sense of good sportsmanship. This spirit of fair play will help us to get along with people in our adult life. In addition, the skills which we have developed will make for better use of leisure time in the future.

JOHN RAGONE Department Head I remember when . . . Physical well being is not only a matter of possessing physical fitness. Instead, an upright and alert character must also be present in a sound body to insure success in today's world. The Boys' Physical Education Department hopes to build perceptive and intelligent minds as well as vigorous, well-disciplined bodies. The aim of this department is to develop, through health and safety classes, an understanding of proper social behavior and a sense of civic responsibility. As the Physical Education Department continues to strengthen our bodies, it also strives to foster not only a wholesome competitive spirit but also socially accepted attitudes of behavior.
