MILDRED RYAN Department Head Don't you people read your newspapers and magazines? The Social Studies Department strives to educate the students of history and geography in the fundamental relationships among peoples of all races and cultures. The department wishes each student to contrast himself with people of other lands and to recognize the common bonds shared by all men everywhere. A great deal of emphasis is placed upon the study of various forms of government. In this manner, the student gains a deep respect for all nations and peoples. The ultimate result of diligent study is a student who has prepared himself well for his position as a citizen of his community, nation, and world. JOEL CHESKIN Don't expect an 'A' out of me.
