SOL WHITMAN Department Head Am I keeping you awake? The mathematics which we have learned during our stay at New Brunswick High School will provide us with an excellent foundation in the years to come. We will find that mathematics is applicable in every day lite, but, more important, we will see that through the study of mathe- matics our minds have become a bit better organized. The members ot the Mathematics Department are dedicated to laying good mathematical foundations, and at the same time developing good, logical thinkers. We would, therefore, like to thank the math teachers for their guidance and instruction in the past three years. BLANCHE BAIER Say what you mean FRED BROWN I'Fake it.

DAVID KUTLIROFF Department Head Linen to what I think, not what I say. The major aim ot the Science Department is to en- courage the student to employ deductive reasoning in the solving of problems. Through application ot the basic principles of the science, be it biology, chemistry, or physics, the student solves problems and attempts to discover new ideas. This process of logical reasoning will be useful to the student throughout his college career and the rest of his life. Another aim ot the Science Depart- I ment is to instill in the student a curiosity about the world around him. The sciences are not limited to iust college- bound students, however. Courses in general biology and general chemistry are designed to give the non-college- bound student a glimpse into science as- well as to develop his ability to make and record observations and to work precisely in the laboratory.
