The Business Education Department has done much to augment and enrich the business programs of New Brunswick High School. In this department a basic busi- ness sense is developed in the student through the instruction imparted by the teachers. Such skills as typing, instruction in business machines, and business administra- tion are included in this program. This sense, as it may be called, is taught not only as an educational skill, but is carried also through the practical aspects of business. A special iob program, the purpose of which is the practical application of the factors of the student's knowl- edge, is available. Through this method of iob placement, the student may earn while he learns for his future. rw ROBERT KUCHINSKI HAROLD BROCCOLETTl DORIS BRYANT Department Head Sit down and take the gum out of All rzglzt, quiet now. RUTH KASTELANSKY C'est la vie. ARLENE RADER Hush, people . . . The Social Studies Department strives to educate the students of history and geography in the fundamental relationships between people of all races, cultures, and creeds of all generations. The department wishes each student to contrast himself with people of other lands and to recognize the common bonds shared by all men everywhere. A great deal of emphasis is placed upon the study of various forms of government. In this manner, the student gains a deep respect for all nations and peoples. The ultimate result of diligent study is a student who has prepared himself well for his position as a citizen of his community, nation, and world.
