TRACK New Britain High School is very proud of the fine job Coach Hal Beagle is doing with our Track and Cross Country teams. The teams' records may not be the best in the state, but there is a story behind their wins and losses - a story of sportsman- ship and fair play, the basis of the American ideal. - Our high school has been happy to receive a number of students from abroad. It was not long before these boys were try- ing out and participating in high school activities, and American sports won immediate favor with them. Daily practice in running com- bined with other physical exer- cises may not have produced big scores, but it has produced line spirit. The boys have won honors in physical fitness and in prac- tical sportsmanship, and these are lasting trophies.
