Senior Class Officers PRESIDENT Paul Oglesby VICE PRESIDENT Donna Stewart SECRETARY Connie Hall REPORTER Steven Waidell TREASURER Susan Richardson HISTORIAN Patricia Tyson We’re the class that can't be licked - Senior Class of '76 Paul Oglesby, Roy Whittle, Anne Lynch, Byron Gardner, and Patricia Tyson qualified for the regional liter- ary contests at Arlington, Texas. The Student Council erected a student pavilion at the high school. Presented the first Junior Play ever held. A Photography Club was begun during the 1976 school year. The football team won 7 games, while losing only 3. Steven Wardell was chosen first team all district in football. Roy Jennings was also chosen first team all district football. Brad Akins, Jerry Willis, Jay Olson, Tab Jones, Mike Raney, and Rickey Webster made honorable mention in football, Terry Cotton was chosen first team all district in basketball. Johnny Hooks made honorable mention in bas- ketball . A girls' athletics program was begun in 1976, Joan Culberson and Jackie Fisher were named to the all district volleyball team. The Senior class traveled to Galveston for the Senior trip. The Senior play was entitled The Eager Miss Beaver. Anne Lynch, Patricia Tyson, Theodore Mercer, Jeff Payne, and Paul Oglesby went to Regional Science Con- test in Arlington. Janette Yarbough placed third in District Broad Jump, second in the 220 Yard Dash, 3rd 100 Yard Dash, 1st 440 Yard Relay. 28
