Text from Pages 1 - 168 of the 1970 volume:

Carl Sandburg in his poem “Skyscraper says “It is the men and women, boys and girls so poured in and out all day that give the building a soul of dreams and thoughts and memories. As each individual forms a part of the mass, so each personality con- tributes to the whole of New Boston's soul - that abstract thing we call school spirit. Soon we, the class of 1970, will be leaving this student body. With us we will take our individual dreams and thoughts and memories, many of which were molded in these halls and rooms. Before we leave, we present the 1970 Pine Cone, an abstract collection of the people and events that filled our senior year. 3 4 Administration 7 - 22 Classes 23 - 80 Favorites 81 - 94 Band Athletics 95 - 108 Organizations 109 - 136 Activities Supporters 137 - 160 Faculty in Action How can one person eat so Coffee, tea, or me?! Williams 1970 was a year to remember for the Senior class of NBHS. This was their last year of high school - an end and a beginning. Tasks and decisions that lay before them were challenging. Improving their grades for ex- emption, choosing the college or career, selecting and sending invitations - these were a few problems which confronted the class of '70. Seniors assumed positions of leadership in school work and various organizations and worked hard to make their last year a profitable one. Cards received and invitations sent out, students realized that graduation was near. As they marched down the aisle in cap and gown, a few tears were shed for this - the climax of their high school career. 26 RAYMOND ADDINGTON OMA ALFORD KEITH ALLEN MICHAEL ANDERSON GARY ATCHLEY DAVID BATCHELOR RICHARD BETTERTON MACK BOLGER DAVID BRYAN RANDY BUTLER ALBERT CAMERON CAROLYN CAMPBELL 27 CATHY RANEY DILLARD MICHAEL DOSS GLEN EDWARDS MARK ELLIS JEANNE FEAR DEBORAH FLOURNOY 29 JUDY GAY DAVID GRAHAM MICHAEL GREEN JULIA HARBOR DAVID HAWKINS NORMAN HENDERSON ALAN HERROLD SHERRY HOLLEY VALLERY HOLT GUS HUBBARD LONNIE HURD SUSAN JETT RICKEY JOHNSON BARRY JONES GARY JONES LINDA LAND Well, Well!
