Se tioi O cc u President - Dale Hanna; Vice President - Jimmy Vinson; Secretary - Kenneth Banks; Treasurer - Gerald Turner; Reporter - Paula Jones; Historian - Jimmy Charles Curtis, HEY! HEY! HEAR US ROAR, SENIOR CLASS OF '64 This was the yell that began, carried us through, and finally ended our glorious year as 1964 Seniors of New Boston High School. Football season brought us four Senior Football Captains: Johnny Burrow, Jim- my Vinson, Jerry Farmer, and Kenneth Banks; a Senior Football Sweetheart, Paula Jones; and an All- District player, Jimmy Vinson, With the coming of basketball season, many honors were afforded our ALL SENIOR BASKETBALL TEAM composed of Jimmy Curtis, Gerald Turner, Jimmy Vinson, Steve Mur- dock, and Jerry Farmer. All-District players were Gerald Turner and Jimmy Curtis and All-State and Honorable Mention All-American honors going to Jimmy Curtis. Our team advanced to the Regional Play-offs after having won the District and Bi-District games. In the field of track. Bill Greggston and Jimmy Curtis won the District Mile Run and the District 880 Dash, respectively, for two years straight. Out class was not only talented in sports, but in other activities, too. Winning for our school in the Interscholastic League Contest was Kay Longino, who placed first in District Typing, Kay also was a delegate to the 1963 National FHA Convention and wrote a relaxer presented at the 1964 National Con- vention, At graduation, we were all pleased to learn that for the first time there were four Seniors with four year averages of over 95: Gerald Turner, Jimmy Curtis, Jimmy Vinson, and Kay Longino. Another fact of which we are all quite proud is that our class won more trophies than any other class in the his- tory of N.B.H.S. So. in conclusion, let it be said—WE SHALL REIGN FOREVERMORE, SENIOR CLASS OF '64.
