The class of 1977 respectively dedicates this year’s “Beacon to its sponsors, Mrs. Glenda Smith and Mr. U. Selby Aswell. Mrs. Smith and Mr. Aswell have devoted much of their time and effort to the seniors and their many activities. Without their guidance, friendship, trust, leadership, and complete confidence, many of our senior activities and senior trip would not have succeeded. Because of Mrs. Smith and Mr. Aswell, the senior class was able to raise money to take an out-of-state trip to Florida for eight days and eight nights. Because of these two people, who gave up so much of their time and freedom, we were able to take a trip that we will remember the rest of our lives. It is with sincere thanks and appreciation for their tireless work and effort that we, the Senior Class of 1977, dedicate this annual to them.
