MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT Mrs. Ivy P. Chadwick, Miss Hilda Gordon, Mr. james N. Smith, Mr. J. F. Hockaclay, all of Math Department, are discussing a problem. The base of our ability to reason practically and in the quickest way . . . These are the ones who unfold before us such seemingly inaccessible things as alge- bra, geometry, and trig. Untangling graphs, filling out bank forms, and dia- gramming in a circle are just a few things that baf- fle us in math . . .
