When Francis, with his pep, enthusiasm, and splendid sportsmanship, steps out to meet a foe, we are pretty sure of vic- tory. We regret that this season ends his athletic career in N. B. H, but we know he will soon be shining elsewhere. FR.xN

Edith is sorta quiet, but like all still waters she runs deep. She is a lovely combination of good looks and brains, together with neatness, studiousness, friendliness and willingness to join you in anything that's going On. This makes her one of the most lovable members of the class of '29 HSNOOKSN JAMES LANDRETH CASON, JR. Laugh cmd be merry: Better the world with a song. Ann was voted best all 'round by the Seniors and well she might be, for who can surpass her combination of attractiveness, popularity and bas- ket-ball ability? When there's any excitement in school we all know that Ann is back of it some way, and in History class when we hear a little groan we -know she has just been asked another question about the location of the Carribean. In quality she is plus. Just as she is. suits us. English Club, '25, '26: Dramatic Club, '28, '29. Julia is one of our little girls, but her knowl- edge is not to be compared with her size, for great minds in small bodies are oft found. She has a Winsome personality and somewhere tucked away is a romantic tinge. Julia is a true friend in trouble as well as in fun, always ready for a good time. She is very serious at times, especially during tests. Loyalty, cheerfulness and pep makes her a lovable classmate. JL'I.Ii: SADIE MAE GASKINS Rare compound of quality. noble and true. With plenty of sense and good humor. too. Student Council, '27: English Club, 'ZTZ Pythagorean Club, '28: French Club, '29. The casual observer might call Sadie a very quiet, dignified girl, but to know her well is to change one's mind completely. Her friends know her to be full to the brim of life and fun. One would have to go far to find a truer and better friend than Sadie. All of us admire and respect her, and will always be glad to remember her as our classmate. SAME HENRY LEN GIBBS Eat. drink. and be merry. for tomorrow you may die. Freshman Basketball, '26, '27: Football. '2T: Forum, '273 Dramatic Club, '28: Drama Guild, '293 Am I Intrud- ing? . '29. Life for Len was always a thing to be con- sidered lightly. In fact he took such pains to enjoy his school life that it took us until his Senior year to find what a good actor he was, but once discovered, don't think he didn't shine in our Senior play! We're wishing him his long and merry life full of good luck, plenty of smiles and few hard knocks. LIcN ROBERT WILLIAM GRAY Life is just one 'whoopee' after another. Student Council, '28: Dramatic Club, '28, '29. Robert is full of fun and glee. He is quite an asset to the commercial classg if he isn't clean- ing the boards, he is making us laugh. Robert is quite the student. We feel sure that he will meet with success in the business world. R0l3lER'l '
