New Berlin Central School New Berlin, New York 13411 Dedication This yearbook is dedicated to a very special teacher, Mrs. Couse. She has been our advisor, teacher, and most importantly, our friend. She has always had the time for anyone who had a problem, whether math related or not. Many students have walked in and out of her room, but she has never forgotten one. She has made each student a part of her, and with that, she has become a part of us. We would like to say thank-you for your time, effort, and abundant supply of patience. 2 Dedication Pres.: Debbie Phillips V. All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful. The Lord God made them all. Each little flower that opens. Each little bird that sings. He made their glowing colors, He made their tiny wings. The rich man in his castle, The poor man at his gate, God made them, high or lowly. And order'd their estate. The sunset and the morning, The river running by. The purple-headed mountain. That brightens up the sky- The cold wind in the winter, The pleasant summer sun. The ripe fruits in the garden- He made them every one. The tall trees in the greenwood. The meadows where we play. The rushes by the water We gather every day. He gave us eyes to see them. And lips that we might tell. How great is God Almighty, Who has made all things well. I'm an exchange student from Kagoshima, Japan. I came to New Berlin on August 18, 1985. Here is different than almost all things in Japan. I'm enjoying my life here. I like it here very much, because everyone is so kind. Now, though I don't yet live just a month here, it seems to me that I live here for a long time. I think that I'll be able to have a nice year with everybody. Sincerly, Takako Hi, from sunny South Africa . . . It's me-Lorin Boynton. I come from Cape Town, which is right at the tip of Africa. My family- two brothers and two sisters, with me number four along the line. I finished my 12 years of school before I came to America, so I have been able to take subjects that I didn't take at home. Art has been my favorite one. New Berlin was a change for me, coming from a city of one and a half million. But I have gained much by living in the community. I've had the opportunity to travel and see some of this vast country. I've survived the COLD New Berlin winter and a heat wave in Las Vegas, so I'm weathered! I will be going to a University in Cape Town, starting in Febuary . . . hopefully for a medical degree. Liefde en Totsiens Lorin I'm from Norway! My name is Liv. I have two sisters, one brother and a nephew. My father has an accounting firm. My mother has a hamburger place. We have to go 9 years at school in Norway. Then we can do what we want... go to college or get work. Everything is up to you. You can't have a drivers license before you are 18 years, unlike here. But in Norway you can drink when you are 18. In the place where I live in Norway it is light in the summer and dark in the winter. In the fall and spring it is like here. In the summer it is also sun 24 hours a day. In Norway, most people are crazy, not like me. You know some of the people in Norway have brain and headache .. . well, no brain, no headache ... that's me!
