614155 flisfzfry H ere it is June 1948 - the Year of our Graduation! It doesn't seem possible that four years could go by so quickly! It was September, 1944, that we entered Vocational High as Fresh- men. Shy and awkward were most of us. Mr. Mackintosh greeted us kindly at our first assembly. He confronted us with the idea that the amount of effort put into our work would determine the amount of good received by us. Our first day in school was one we shall never forget! New faces, new friends and, above all, a new school! Would we ever get used to everything, we wondered? Would we be successful in our courses? All these worries occupied our troubled minds the first few weeks of school - that is until the Freshman Dance which was sponsored by the Junior Class. It was a wonderful affair! Before we realized it, June was here and a well-earned summer vacation awaited us. September rolled around again and we entered our Sophomore Year with happy hearts. We wondered how we had ever felt strange and timid at Vocational High School. School went on much the same as in our Freshman Year, except that our studies were more difficult. Athletics and clubs were enjoyed by all and they brought us many new friends. Returning as juniors in 1946 from a pleasant vacation, we settled down to school work with determination. As our class advisors, we chose Miss Helen Hodziewich and Mr. Kenneth H. Pearson. T11 ir! y-aight
