Throughout the 87-88 school year, the senior class officers and steering committee joined their efforts to make our senior year a memorable one. The senior class officers helped the steering committee and the senior class come up with ideas for fundraisers and school functions. Along with the class officers, two very important people, Ms. Persson of the Foreign Language Department and Mr. Rose, head of the Science Department acted as senior class advisors. They attended all the meetings and provided encouragement as well as help for the students to come up with ideas and carry them out. The senior steering committee not only col- lected dues and other monies, but they also came up with various activities for seniors. This year, the steering committee followed last year’s committee in having the Senior Banquet in October and a boat cruise on the Schamonchi in the spring. During Spirit Week, they planned the senior dress-up days and also won the Dean’s Trophy during the spirit parade bonfire night. They competed against other seniors at the Broom Ball hockey game and then against the other classes in the Field Day contest in May. They ran a Prom Prom- otional Day and were guests of honor at Super Senior Day. This year the steering committee also came up with a few new activities which included the Halloween Film Festival and the “video shows’ of all the events that took place during the school year. As you can see, the steering committee, class officers and class advisors put in a great deal of time and effort in order to make our senior year special and one that will be remembered for many years to come. P.S. A big thank you to our class advisors without whose help the year wouldn't have been as much fun Or as memorable. Ms. M. Persson Mr. J.W. Rose 20
