26 Mr. Paul Rodrigues MR. RODRIGUES RETIRES Mr. Paul Rodrigues is a graduate of New Bedford High School, a veteran of many years as a faculty member and administrator in the New Bedford school system, former headmaster of New Bed- ford High School and ultimately the superintendent of all New Bedford schools. He is a gentleman who has been feared by a few, beloved by many and respected by all. His reputation for fairness, straightforwardness and integrity is undisputed. He is known for listening to both sides of any story and guarding the right of others to disagree with him. Let it be known that Mr. Rodrigues has made an immeasurable contribution to this city and, more importantly, to its students. His retirement in August of 1981 has effected an incredible loss to the field of education. We shall miss him.
