The 1978 Crimson Log ts dedicated to Mr. Walter Owen as an appreciative tribute. i weal . ams + hey ¢ sto Mr. Walter Owen It's a varied and somewhat exotic career which Mr. Walter Owen has enjoyed through the years, ranging from the bohemian years in Greenwich Village with the likes of Maxwell Bodenheim, to the latter years within the confines of the New Bed- ford High School Art Department; his professional talents have served him — and us — well. He is artist, lecturer, traveller, eter. : ee teacher, and — much more. To his students, he has been an inspiration and a constant source of knowledge laced with the spirit of humor. To his colleagues, he has been an involved and concerned member of the teach- ing team. To the Crimson Log, he has been a never-ending source of ideas, Waicoe: j Original designs and artwork for which we can never repay him. Now, as he retires from this high school, we wish him and his talented with = Georgette, many happy, healthy years which we are sure they will fill with even more diverse and enriching experiences. We thank them and wish them. God- speed. 2)
