FRANCIS J. SINGLETON Su Memoriam Last December, faculty and students alike were saddened by the death of Mr. Francis J. Singleton of the science department. A veteran of World War II, he had returned to the biology classroom, where his thorough knowledge of his subject and his deep interest in his students made him a respected and well- loved teacher. Those fortunate enough to have known Mr. Singleton will remember always a gentleman with an unusual sense of dedica- tion to his profession. 12
