DEDICATION MR. DORMAN MR. MARVEL We feel that our Class is particularly favored, in having the double honor of dedicating our Book to two outstanding faculty members, — our Principal, Mr. Dorman, and our Assistant Principal, Mr. Marvel, both retiring in 1949. Each has given long and valuable service to our school, and each has contributed much to the training and enrichment of our lives. We wish them God's speed, and many more years of happy and useful ser- vice in Our community.

FOREWORD Tradition demands an appropriate foreword for this, our final bit of N.B.H. S. memorabilia. Would that we could say that our labor pains were minimal, that all our sessions were held in an easy-going air of good fellow- ship — but, alas, no work of art can be brought into the world with so little effort! We shall not mention, therefore, the innumerable weary meetings and the endless planning — planning the finances, the writing, the pictures, the finances, the names, the dummy, and — ceaselessly — the FINANCES. But at length our problems were solved, and the Classbook was completed. If in the future, THE CRIMSON LOG helps to bring back to mind our friends and surroundings while here, the purpose and ambition of its staff will have been amply fulfilled. We cannot allow these pages to be turned however, without first expressing our deepest gratitude to MISS LORD, our class advisor. Her untiring efforts in guiding our affairs and in helping us will always be re- membered most gratefully. Who of us, that worked so closely with our advisor in 128, will ever forget that motto always on her desk - - ‘‘God Grant me the serenity to accept things | cannot change, courage to change things | can, and wisdom to know the difference.”’ Marjorie Gabriel, Editor-in-Chief Class Motto Virtutem ante omnia diligamus.
