DRAMATIC CLUB To most of us Spring is anything but just around the corner; but to active Jane Hirshson and her ambitious thespians, this makes no difference. She still is persuading Miss Blaisdell to tutor the Dramatic Club in voice and Miss Brady to give lessons in make-up at the club’s semi-monthly meetings. And guess what they’re doing it all for? - Why the club’s annual, super, spring play, of course. 31

GIRLS’ LEAGUE As we were on our way down to Miss Lord’s recently we found a little brown notebook with the following schedule in it outside of 101. Monday: Help at Fort Rodman hospital . . . go home and have dinner . . . wash dinner dishes . . . read newspaper . . . homework (bless the dear). Tues- day: Go straight home after my chocolate soda and daily gossip session, and do homework . . . get dressed . . . dinner . . . dishes . . . funnies . . . at seven sharp, Charlie. Wednesday: Take care of Betty Jane . . . roll bandages . . . bone up on English. Thursday: Go down to City Mission and help with activities . Here we stopped and looked up to see Miss Lord smiling at us. “We just found this notebook outside of your door, Miss Lord,” we said. Taking it and glancing at the name inscribed on the inside cover, she exclaimed, “Why that’s one of my Girls’ League members!” Since we seemed quite interested in the league, our social adviser went on to tell us that each year the Senior Girls’ League, composed of fifty upperclassmen and the Junior Girls’ League, made up of twenty-five Freshies and Sophs interested in social work, band together in a club to serve the com- munity and at the same time build their own individual characters. We consider this quite a worthwhile target. Don’t you? 30

Rudolphe changes the society’s point of view while Donald inserts his questioning looks. 32
