W 1 It was on the 8th of February 1915 when 188 Freshmen began th ' eir careers as High School students. Until we learned the room nuntibers, we often wandered around i l I I ' ' n arge groups, many times hearing, Here comes a gang of Freshiesf' Oh, those were trying times' At our first class- meeting, the following officers we-re elected: EDGAR BARBELL-Presitiem. 9 omvn WILSON-Vice President., HELEN G. BOOTH, Secretary. LOUIS E. GROVER, Treasurer. - a The Presidentlwas unable to serve four years, so Oarl A. Pitta was elected. a . , In order to make us feel more at home in the High School, we were given a reception by the Senior Olass a short while after our entrance The second year, most of the class returned to widen their Held of knowledge, and rejoicing because they would no longer be Hhailedn as freshies. The green was pretty well worn off. Our. number was small at the beginning of our Junior year, and When the Senior te-rm, started, 57 of the original number remained, and 57 remained to the end. A In the second term of our Senior year the supervised study alan was I Q l adopted, lengthening the school day until 3:20. It was hard at first but we soon got used to it, particularly when we realized that the afternoon session began at 1 o'clock, not two or three minutes past, when you would see a fewrbreathless stragglers enter and ask, 4'Has the bell rung ?'7 Being unable to give the class entering February 1918 a reception, we joined with the class of June, 1919 and gave all the Freshmen a recep tion, November 22, thus showing them the social side of High School lifel The Senior Prom was held' Januar f 10 191 5 , 9. Wlieii the subject of a class motto came up, toward the completion of our course, we chose 1- v HOARRY ON. Let us not forget it as we go away from this gathering tonight.
