Adxiser. eadfiaefw Staffs of The Blotter went from one of the mallest during the first semester to the largest dur- ing the second semester to ever publish the school newspaper. During the second semester two separate staffs were organized and each staff published The Blotter on alternate weeks. However, all staffs SLIC- ceeded in fulfilling the purposes of the paper. They found their work a training course in newspaper work, did creative writing, and kept students in- formed of the activities and organizations in school. They also interpreted the school to the community. Published bi-weekly the first semester and weekly the second semester, a total of twenty issues of The Blotter was printed during the school year. Climax- ing the first semesters subscription drive the Blotter Varieties of 1919 was presented in the auditorium for subscribers. The annual senior-faculty basketball game ended the second semester subscription cam- paign. journalism Ns, were given at the annual journalism dinner. Members of the staffs attended the Indiana High School journalism Institute at Indiana University, the Indiana High School Press Association meeting at Franklin College, the National Scholastic Press Association conference at Chicago, and the Butler University High School Journalism Field Day.
