Calendar of Even ts May ------ The P. T. A. has their last meeting for this year. May ------ Take a good look at the old school, Seniors! Last day of school for them. May ------ See the Dignified Seniors in their caps and gowns. Baccalaureate. May 22, 23, Z4-Exams! Exams! Exams! May 24 ------ The Honorable Seniors take their places in life! Commencement. iiii Varsity Basketball In 1949-1950, contrary to all hopes, the basketball team didn't blossom forth with many wins. Although our mighty five struggled hard at both home and other floors. Dame Victory shunned our boys. However, it is our hopes and intentions, that next year comes forth with an active and vigorous team, who will bring Nevada High down the road to Victory. The Seniors who will be lost by the squad are: Alvin Markley, Vernon Spiegel. Ted Frost, and Leroy Jacobs. Reserve Basketball This season was a fair one for the Reserves, having won 5 and lost 13. With this outlook, we are sure to have a better team next year due to the experience these boys have had this year. ,,,,Baseball,-, Only one game was marked up for Nevada this year, even though all the boys tried hard. Our pitcher, Ted Frost, will be lost by the team, and also Pete Spiegel, Leroy Jacobs, Alvin Markley, and Donald Logan. However, there are many other capable players who will play again next year and fight for ole Nevada High. Our luck is with you. iii? Due to the fact that this 1949-1950 Reflector was written prior to the first of March, some of the eventful occasions of Nevada High are omitted. as-mms A LITTLE TOO LATE Miss Wigton-Eat your spinach, johnny T.
