Each and everyone of us were chewing our fingernails and waiting impatiently for the big event of the year, namely initiation. Our officers for that year were: President--Ronald Klinkg Vice-President--Wayne England: Secretary joyce Heinleng Treasurer--Donald McElhaney. Our advisor was Mrs. Main. We chose as our class colors, royal blue and silver gray. Our class flower is the white carnation. In our Sophomore year, eleven of us broke the tradition of dul1ness by making a general nuisance of ourselves. much to the sorrow of our poor teachers. Our officers for that year were: President--Eddie Clevengerg Vice-President-- jo Ann jury: Secretary- -joyce Reedg Treasurer--Ronald K1inkpAdvisor--Mrs. Beggs. ln this, our junior year, twelve members chose the following officers: President--Ronald Klinkg Vice-President--Eddie Clevengerg Secretary--jo Ann juryg Treasurer--john Tschantz. Our advisor is Mr. Martin. Each morning, twelve slap- happy juniors file slowly in and occupy twelve out of fifty seats in study hall, which we use as our home room. We have been slaving very hard to make enough money to have an outstanding junior-Senior Prom. Besides all this, we produced our class play, The Kid. a three act comedy. They say the Senior year is the most exciting. ls it? Tell you next year at this time. ................... . 15

At the beginning of the 1948 school year, nineteen befuddled Freshmen began their upward climb in the Nevada High School. We elected the following classmates to guide us through the school term: Imogene Kuenzli, Presidentg Freddie Markley, Vice-Presidentg june Markley, Secretaryg and Gerald Schenk, Treasurer. Miss Short was our class advisor. We chose our class colors--pink and silver-gray, our motto, Be a lifter, not a 1eaner, and our flower, the white rose. The highlight of the year was the Freshmen Initiation, which we all survived. We entered our Sophomore year with seventeen members. During the year. Eugene Pollock was welcomed into our class. The following officers were elected: Imogene Kuenzli, President, Roger Monroe, Vice-President, Shirley Craft. Secretary and june Markley, Treasurer. Mrs. Beggs was our class advisor. After an unevent- ful year, we are anticipating our positions as juniors and Seniors. 16
