M JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY Three years ago a youthful and eager band of thirty-two Freshmen entered the portals of the school we all love so well. Here with hopeful hearts and eager hands we began a struggle that would claim us for four Iong years. And now that nearly three of those years are gone, we find that we have just begun our life struggle. In our Freshman year we were represented in baseball, basket ball, track, debating, literary and staff. We took second place in track last year. When we again assembled in the fall of '24, we found that our class numbered only twenty-seven. But our class spirit had increased and we settled down to Work. This year we were again represented in all the high school activities and won second place in the basket ball tournament. In our Sophomore year we did what few other classes have done. We pre- sented a play, Aunt Sophonia at College. It was a great success. Again the September sun shone and again we entered the open doors of our school, but this time as Juniors. There are only twenty-four of us. but what a lot we have done and can do. We are represented in the school activities. We have won both baseball and basket ball tournament, and have the honor of selling more lecture course tickets than any other class, for which we were well rewarded. This year we again presented a play, Bor- rowed Money , which was very successful. This Spring the Juniors are going to banquet the Seniors, and as We expect to live up to our past standard, this will be the best banquet any Junior class has given the Seniors. We have only one more year to go and we hope that our High School career will finish with as good a standard as it had when it started-good work, high grades, and doing its best at all times.
