. . . Superintendent Develap Into Reality Superintendent C .I-I. jones, jr. assumed the ' responsibility of direct- ing the schools in Nevada in july of 1947 . During the past few years, he has become an expert we in planning school build- ings . Always alert to the problems of educa- tion, Mr. Jones keeps in contact with advance- ments in the profession- al field. The superinten- dent attended the nation- al convention of the American Association of School Administrators in Atlantic City where the design for our new building was displayed Mr jones keen interest in improved leglislation for schools, his work in church and his activity in civic functions make him a capable administra tor and citizen O efwfqi Krae- ent We tml? ti All -X E wx' . i, y 'y I 1 .t ' N Don McReynolcls the architects representative makes .1 final check with Mr Jones before the Open House event scheduled for the fifth of April 1959 Mrs Ruth Weltmer and Miss Kleetis Wirth are masters of office machines Mrs Weltmer, secretary to the superintendent and treasurer of the Board of Education has much res ponsibility In addition to maintaining the payroll for approximately 130 people she keeps the accounts for the purchases of the school district She is assisted in her office by Miss Wirth who is also the secretary for the Veterans Farm Train ing Program

CHIIULLIFE Fall in! March! This special tour through N.H.S. begins with a typical day with each of the six grades that make my pawing grounds their home. This lobby at the main entrance is the meeting place for N.H.S. students . When the bell rings, I fall in be- hind the biggest interference runner I can find. For about a minute it's every man, woman, and tiger for himself--but, when the all clear tardy bell sounds, I can peek down a hall and see for miles! Since I don't have a regular schedule, I pop into any classroom throughout the day. All work and no play would make Tolliver a dull tiger, so I join in the scentiment of Homecoming, Anti-Van, Twirp Dance--and natch -- the Prom .
