It purchased a water-cooler which was to be placed in the junior high division of the high school. The junior council with the senior council planned six pay assemblies which will be given in I9LL9'l95O. lt served Food at the junior high tournament and gave SLA5 ol: its proFit to the basketball team. The money was used to buy suits For the teams. The Council Convention at Springfield was attended and enjoyed by all but two members who were unable to attend. fx C Amior Clfiglfl gtudent Qounciil S2 The Senior High School Student Council has now completed another year of service to the Nevada High School. Under the capable leadership ol: its sponsor, Miss Qadiiord, it has accom- plished a great many things. ln October the council sponsored an all-school l-lallowe'en party. At various times after the baslcetlball games on Friday nights,there have been dances. All of these activities have proved very successful. At all home Football and basketball games the council members sold ticlcets and distributed programs. An intramural program was set up by the council. The gold plate was added to complete the plaque For the Nevada- Lamar Football game. Thirteen representatives were sent to the Student Council Convention in Springfield, Missouri. The senior council,along with the junior high councibhas presented sev- eral paid assemblies during the year. To help meet expenses, candy bars have been sold during the noon hour and after school.
