Stars sparkling in the moonlit sky, the prince and his princess, the ghost white horses drawing the magnificent pumpkin carriage, all seemed to bring the fairytale CINDERELLA to life, April 20, l95l, as the juniors presented the annual Junior-Senior Prom at the V, F. W, Hall. The walls of the ballroom were adorned with large paintings, depicting various scenes from the story, One painting was of Cinderella's mice friends Jacque and Gus pulling and tugging up the stairs, the key which would unlock Cinderella and enable her to try on the slipperg another was of the duke trying the glass slipper on Cinderella, there was also a picture ofthe carriage taking Cinderella to the castle for the ball. ln the center of the dance floor stood a quaint old well. lf you were to make a wish and throw in a coin, your wish was sure to come true. From a small balcony overlooking the ballroom came the strains of Ralph Zarnow's orchestra. Eight--nine--ten--eleven--the hour of twelve has comeg the ball is over!! l 46
