THE TWELVE PEUND LO0K CAST Sir Harry Sims . . . Martin Ogden Lady Sims . . . . . Pat Young Kate, BL '0ypiSt . . . . Janet Taylor Tombes, the butler . . John Harkness The Nevada Players are presenting THE TWELVE POUND LOOK, by Sir James Barrie this spring as their one-act contest play. Under the very able direction of Mrs. Phyllis Lyders, they have won Division I ratings at the preliminary and pre-district contests. They are now looking forward to their next contest, the district, where they hope to receive another I rating, and thus compete in the state contest, The play revolves around Sir Harry, a very over- bearing man who is about to be knighted, and the typist he hires through an employment agency. When the typist appears, he discovers that she is Kate, his former wife. Because her life seemed meaningless in Sir Harry's society, she left him after secretly earning twelve pounds. After an interesting reminscent conversation, Kate warns Sir Harry that Emmy, his present wife, might also be growing tired of his pompousness. Kate is soon dismissed, and the play closes with a dramatic climax, Emmy, who has just been scolded by Sir Harry, starts to leave the room, then hesitatingly stops at the door and asks, Are they very expensive? Sir Harry barks at her, What'? Quietly she says, Those .... machines.
