-I - A bit of picturesque Holland was transplanted to Nevada o n May 17, l9L,9 for the Junior-Senior Prom held at the Nevada Community building- The large auditorium was converted into a lovely Dutch setting. Senior Cl ss--l9h9 Prom Servers, left to right: Rodney Snyder, Janet Newton, James Per- kins, Dolores Nilson, Vivian Johnson, Charles Case, Mary dllen Cor- bin, Dick Henry. lDutch scenes were upon all the valls ,and t h e entire decorative a re a was s urro u n ded by a white picket fence e ntwi n ed with color ful tulips. As the young couples, the girls inlovely formals, entered under a lattice arch they were greete d by the strain s of s o ft m us i c b y .Jack Berka and His music makers, coming from the bard stand lo c a- ted in the middle of the south sec- tion, the wall be- hind b e i ng de- corated with t u- lips, Dutch girls and dilcos. On th e East wall was a la rge Dutch q i r l and boy painted i n b ri g ht colors, a n d outlined in luminous p aint which glow e d in the dark. On the :north wall was a cobblestone street with a large wood- en milk cart drawn by a dog with a Dutch girl walking ah e a d . At the west was a large windmill with the paddles revolving slowly. In frontof the windmill w as a. pool of water re- flecting the lu- minous moon. Gr- een grass leading up to a nearby hi ll surrounded the windmill mu- ral.
