The picture on the right shows DeVayne Hancock, Herb Jones, and Harlan Thomas as the three members of the Nestucca F.F.A. livestock judging team at the Clackamas County Fair. The chap- ter judging team won honors at many of the livestock judging contests this yer. Phil Ogle was the toastmaster at this years parent and son banquet on November 20, 1952. The picture on the left shows chapter officers, Don Trent, Ed Siason and Phil Ogle,.at ease after the hanquct. The chapter sold Christmas cards as a means of securing banquet funds. Lynwood Lundquist, the state F .F.A. president, gave a short speech and H.S. Dixon made the address. Initial project improvement program awards were awarded to DeVayne Hancock and Ken Haltiner by Nh. Beven, of the Tillamook Safeway store. The chapter placed fifth in the District Parliamentary Contest this year. 'I'hose on the team were Don Trent, Pete Murray, Phil Ogle, Keith Cook, Ray Becker, and Floyd Bodyfelt. Floyde Bodyfelt placed third in the District Public Speaking Contest at Sheridan. In the State Farmer Degree contest Nestucca had two representatives who were Don Trent and Ed Sisson. Nestucca again received the herdsnmnship trophy at the Tillamook C. Fair.
