Take Their Turn in the Spotlight During the 1986-1987 school year the seniors took their turn in the spotlight. The class of ’87 enjoyed special privileges such as getting senior keys, memory books, working as student aides for the teachers, prom, and graduation. Besides this, the seniors actively participated in school organizations, music, sports, the senior play, and other activities. In many ways the seniors were the stars of the school. Stuco was led by Mike Fiegel as president, Darla Goodman, vice-president, and Jodie DeShazo, secre- tary. Stuco is the government of the school; the voice of the students were senior representatives. As athletes, they provided leadership and encouragement to the underclassmen. The class set an example for the rest of the school to follow. As the commencement date drew near, the seniors looked forward to their last encore at Ness City High School. Mixed feelings were expressed about gradu- ation — a time in which the seniors can look back at the past and a time to look towards the future.
