Halley's Comet made its passage around the sun and around the earth after 76 years. Ness City Eagles made their marks in 180 days, studying or playing from August 26,1985, to May 23, 1986. The Comet, frozen particles of dust and gas, is a member of the solar sys- tem. Ness City High School, 108 strong, is a member of the WKEA league, and Ness City Grade School, 261, is a member of Qua-Valley. Four hundred forty-six people comprise USD No. 303, Ness County School District. The Comet and the Eagle are unique. Both are reoccurring — the Comet in 2062, the Eagle in 1987. 2 People
