He became the first person in the schoolβs history to throw the javelin over 200 feet in a track meet. He took first place in all the track meets in both events, until the regional meet. He took first in the javelin and se- cond in the shot put. At the State Meet Troy took first in the javelin with a throw of 193'3 .
