Unified District 303 has its own personality con- sisting of an innumerable amount of factors In the 1980 EAGLE, we take a look at the different dimensions that comprise the atmosphere that surrounded us in our daily life at school. There were several new dimensions we discov- ered this year The new vo-ag shop, a new prin- cipal. secretary and several teachers are just a few of the elements making a new atmosphere in the school. The staff planned to capture all the dimensions of NCHS: the sights, sounds, people, places and things By combining these factors we have cre- ated the EAGLE 79-80. The 1980 EAGLE is a scrapbook of the year, a memory book of the year, and a history book Within its covers the staff hoped to record history in the making, for no other school year will be just like this one Barbara Hefei, editor 2 SENIORS 1980 Scott Barrows Rosemary (Smith) Bauer Lori Benedict Craig A. Cautions are not needed Students have spent years preparing for this step. While on it the senior uses this one last rung to prepare him or her for the heights beyond. The quality of the seniors of 1980 lies in the individual quantity of involvement and ef- fort. Involved they were! Seniors led Stuco. FHA, FFA, Kayettes. Thespians, N-Club, National Honor Society, cheerleaders, drill team, pom pons. The Eagle's Eye and The Eagle. Effort was shown as a targe average of seniors made the honor roll each nine weeks Effort were also noted in clubs and sports. These are the seniors of 1980. Involved, en- ergetic and PROUD! 1. The watchful eye of the eagle over the entrance to south hall keeps track of things. 2. Another angle of NCHS. 3. Barb Hefei and Lori Benedict eye the camera. 4. Serious thinking! Rusty Holland contemplates the lens. 5. Mitch Borger helps keep the new ag shop clean while a classmate tends to an arc welder. 6 Dave Windholz, Shelly Sherwin and Barb Hefei show thespian abilities in the fall play. 7 A hot match of ping pong finds Chuck Fellhoelter playing defense. 7 Class Motto: “As I grow to understand life less and less Richard D.
