Tec. 90 Welcome to the 1979 Commencement Exercises of the Ness City High School. Tonight is a night of accom- plishment for us graduating seniors. We are finally participating in what four years ago seemed a long time away. 1 think of tonight as reaching a bridge we must cross. The past four years we as a class have walked down the same road. We have made many friendships along the way. We have had a lot of fun while participtaing in organizations, bands, athletics, and classes together. As we reach this bridge we are saddened that we have to leave it all but then we look ahead and we are ex- cited to cross the bridge. Once we cross this bridge there are many different roads we can take. We will no longer journey down the same road as a class. Some of us will take the road of a career, others the road of a family life, and others the road to furthering our education. We are thankful to our parents, teachers, and commu- nity for giving us the opportunity to travel to this bridge. We are thankful that you prepared us to cross the bridge and head out on our own. Now as each of us cross we will look back and long re- member our past four years at NCHS. But we will also become a part of society in our own way. My fellow classmates 1 would like to say to you, ' 'Don't be afraid to try and never believe you have failed.'' Thank you. Deidra Burdett, Valedictorian Welcome to the commencement exercises of the Sen- ior Class of 1979. This is a proud moment for all of us. Tonight marks the end of our high school achieve- ments and also promises new beginnings. We leave here tonight to prepare for our futures. Let us hope that in the past four years our high school education has given us a sense of responsibility, matu- rity , respect and pride. We leave now to develop our abilities and to enter our future as productive citizens. As responsible citizens, we know that our country has many problems to be solved. It is up to us to work for their solutions in whatever field we may choose. With each of us contributing positively, starting in our fam- ily and in our community, we can help smooth the way for future generations. Our contributions can make a difference. In closing, we want to thank the faculty for their able assistance, our parents for their patience and support, the community for providing us with this outstanding school facility, and to my fellow classmates, 1 want to wish them the very best in their future endeavors. Thank you. 91 Blaine Vogel, Salutatorian 92 93 Autographs Autographs Autographs % .-.r%. • W V I .' $ t¥.
