From the first week of school, when they assisted the Lions Club with their annual broom sale, the girls were kept on their toes with drives, parties, concessions, and many other projects. Special attention was given to our senior citizens. All in all, the Parent Party in April found the girls reviewing their year of work and fun with pride. Kayettes Look Back Another 3000 point award! No wonder the board looks happy. Kavette-of-the-Year, Susan Sorensen, and runners-up (not pictured: Marcia Pfannensteil) This bunch should have fun at camp! Mrs. Floyd and Janet Huff consider a new project. Off on the drive for C.P., Mrs. Floyd tags Anita. 32 With Pride! Watch where you pour that punch, Jan! Working on May baskets for our '’keen-age Sen- ior Citizen friends. Pull out the throttle! Off for a trip to Mars. These space helmets don't fit very well! (8th grade tea) Whose decorating idea was this? Getting to be Bubble-Gum-Queen was NOT easy!! 33 The annual FFA banquet was highlighted with the FFA boys receiving their numerous awards from Mr. Ed Brenner, sponsor, cli- maxing a tremendously productive year. Officers who led their group through an exciting and busy year are: Kevin Frank, Alan Leikam, Gary Gantz, Jerry Stecklein, Dave Rei- nert and John Robinson. A songfest for 8th grade tea entertainment. Fathers and daughters get better acquainted at banquet. Let's stick together! Just 87 more pages and two weeks left. 42 45 The Ness City Eagles had a good season in 1973, winning a majority of their games. The B-team had one victory and one loss, and the Freshmen went undefeated. Like any season, it had its memorable moments, such as in the picture below, where Brad Horchem ran 95 yards for a touchdown in Tribune, or, on the other hand, who will forget that miserable, rainy night in Dighton, when we lost by one point, after three overtimes?
