Valedictorian Jane Agnes Haas, the valedictorian of the Class of 1969, is an outstanding individual, as well as an out- standing student. Although she has gained the top position in her class by many long hours of hard work, Jane has also found time to be one of the most active students at NCHS. Beside scholarship, this versatile young lady has ex- celled in athletics, band, and has held numerous offices in FHA, French Club, National Honor Society, and N-ettes, besides holding the office of Student Council se c re tary - tre as ur e r. Jane has been popular among her fellow classmates. They selected her to represent them as a freshman cheerleader, junior yearbook attendant, and as a class officer her first three years of high school. In recognition of her four years of outstanding achievement, Jane received the Ness County Teachers' Association Scholarship and the I Dare You Award. This was a high honor for a deserving senior.
