As these students pass into the difficult paths of life, the knowledge, experiences, and friendships gained through the competent help of the faculty and through the efforts of their own will, will help determine the fate of the world for their generation and for those to come. 4 Tuesday Tuesday - ✓ MRS. PAUL H. ANDREE Secretary t IIHIM S T K1T10 Under the efficient guidance of our administration and of the school board, 1954-1955 has been a very successful school year. The school board is greatly responsible for making our school system function smoothly. We express our appreciation to them for their untiring efforts in our behalf. In Mr. Andree and Mr. Linn, we have not only administrators who are ready and willing to help us with our problems but who are personal friends to each one of us. To them we express our sincere gratitude for making this an eventful year. CLYDE BURNS Clerk HARRY H. LINN History PATRICIA NICHOL English Librarian BRUCE CONWAY Coach Drivers Education EDITH O. They were coached by Carolyn Harbstreet with Barb Linn and Karen Smyth acting as managers. The leading scorers through the season were Kay Eckles with 86 points and Mary Holmes who had 59. Georgie Boyde and Robert Gassman are keeping the date they made back in 1955 to meet at the Killjoy Club Room on die moon. Georgie has been teaching ballet dancing at die Fortuny-y-Carbo in Paris, while Robert has been doing deep sea diving in the Dead Sea for rocks, special type of course. Robert says he doesn't have water on the brain yet, either. While talking, they began to discuss their classmates of '55. In comparing notes they find Marilyn Mellies is a great singer, playing a major part in two motion pictures a week, living in Hollywood. Still single by the way. Vera Anne McCoy is now working for the government. They have finished testing bombs in Nevada and now are ex- perimenting to see how many nucler atoms Mars is composed of. Also helping the government with its science in the medical field are Janice Rufenacht and Jack Schroyer. They are trying to find a way to combat halitosis, a very frequent habit these days. We are going to have to advise this younger generation to use Listerine antiseptic. It was good enough for grandma so it should be good enough for diem. Joan Arnold has left her home life to go traveling with the red-headed girls' basketball team. Georgie recalls that upon her last trip to Paris she saw JoLeen Rupp, Ellen Cooley, Janice Whitley, Jim Meis, and Dale Rupp. JoLeen now owns her own airline which employs 7, 000 people. Ellen and Janice are on their way across the Antarctia trying to find foods suitable for meals in the outer space. Jim is now supervising the Ford agency in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Dale is Commander in Chief of the Navy. Passes make life so interesting for him. Why look! Who is that dancing over there? None other than Wanda Dinges and her husband. Let's have them join us. The Dinges's are now running the Lost Cheese Ranch. They are farming 72, 365 hills, medium sized, though, near Lind- burger on the moon. Outside the club room in this big city of Ko-Gee-Sleep-Hoe, Verl Walter sets traffic rolling again. Dee Doebbling, the greatest mechanic on the moon, helps Laurice Margheim work on his car. Laurice has been trying to figure out a way to plow up the moon and to find out what type of soil they have here. Maurice Franz has a problem of figuring out the distance from the moon to die sun, the circumference of the moon, and how to build houses so that they sit flat instead of falling into space all the time. The party of four gets settled down to spend a few more hours discussing former classmates, when all of a sudden a jet plane flies over with none other than Darrell Stenzel as the pilot. He is taking Henrietta Koster, the world famous nurse, and Robert Seib, the famous Dr. to start practice in Reindeer Land. The party was very sorry that Bill Rohr could not be with them, but he was busy sleuthing. He is Chief FBI detec- tive, taking his work very seriously. He tells us that in all the cases he has uncovered, the butler never has committed the crime. Poor disillusioned Bill. Clara Marie Pfannenstiel entered her racer in the moon annual midget race where she took 3rd place. Clara Marie has increased her driving skill. Arlene Hemel is planning to follow Miss Brungardt's steps as commerce teacher, but Arlene plans to teach in the cold barren lands of Alaska. Ruth Cranston is editor of the hometown paper. Helping her is Darlene Edwards who has a full time job keeping house and working, while Mary Holmes and Karen Hair are working their way through Vassar, an exclusive girls school, working in a burlesque show. Shirley Michaelis has put many an orchestra conductor out of a job trying to find the job best suited for her. Now she has reached her goal which she always wanted to attain. She is the director of the City Service Band of America. Following almost the same trend, Vera Lee Feuers has attained the position of 1st chair tenor sax player in the world's most famous girls' orchestra. Still in the hometown we have Larry Reinert, who is busy tilling the soil and doing his part in feeding and caring for die underprivileged, while Ronnie Leiker, the man at the head of the Federal Reserve System says he owes his success to the wonderful start he got while acting as treasurer of the 55 Senior class. Willard Meis was always good at dodging and decided to take it up professionally. He is now referred to as Senor Willard Meis, the greatest matador from Central America, and Walter Coker is working as a designer for the Jaguar, sports cars, in Italy. Holding very good jobs as secretaries we find Norma Gable and Donna Wagner. Donna is working for a firm in New York and Norma is working in L. A. We find that Wilma Schaben is traveling quite extensively throughout Europe putting the finishing touches on her education, while Fayetta Hurst is getting accustomed to farm life, living near Dighton. Ida Belle Rohr is working as an interior decorator in the White House getting it ready for the next President which we hope will be a Republican even though Ida is a Democrat. Venita Stegman is working as beauty operator for the Queen of England. As time has flown by so quickly, the Dinges break up the party to go home and do chores. George and Robert just have time enough to get to the station and catch their planes, each going to their own destinations. We also want to add that Liberace has finally found his equal in piano playing when Carolyn Beutler takes the spot light. Carolyn is the bobby-soxers delight in the musical field. L. A. Some of the projects undertaken this year were sending clothing kits to Korea, holding a fashion show, collecting clothes for needy people in the U. S. and foreign countries, and many other money making projects. Memories that will linger will be of group meetings and parties, sacred programs, Heart Sister week, the square dance, slumber party, and Christmas party. They attended the fall conference at Scott City and got a gold award, the highest award presented. THE PURPOSE To build a fellowship of women and girls to the task of realizing in our common life those ideas of personal and social living to which we are committed by our faith as Christians. In this endeavor we seek to understand Jesus, to share his love for all people, and to grow in knowledge and love for God.
