Steve And Meredeth Spark A Successful Year For Student Council “The People At Neshannock Are What Make It Such A Special Place.” Senior Linda Girvan Two of the faces in the crowd at Neshannock that became highly recognizable as the year progress were those of Student Council President Steve Griffiths and his Vice President Meredeth McKissick. For the past few years, Student Council has done one or two successful projects such as the food drive and the Christmas Dance. But as the year went by, it deteriorated into a useless group because enthusiasm was missing. Steve and Meredeth helped to put some of that enthusiasm expressed by members of council to work, and started some new things this past year that likely will stay around for a while. The Homecoming Semi-Formal, the volleyball tournament to fund the food drive, and a 50’s day, culminating with a 50’s dance, all were new this year. And another successful Christmas Dance as well as other projects that Student Council carries out all made for a super year for everyone at N.H.S. Thanks to both Steve and Meredeth for all of the hard work and dedication to the betterment of Neshannock Junior-Senior High School. Opening 3

Anonymity. Because of the high enrollment in most schools, many students are just faces in the crowd. However, at Neshannock High School, those faces are more than just those of other fish in a pond. They belong to people we have grown up with or acquaintances we have just made. Because the size of Neshannock is smaller than most other schools, teachers are able to get to know the students more personally. This allows for better student-teacher relationships. That is what makes Neshannock stand out from other schools. That’s also what gives Neshannock . . . A TOUCH OF CLASS « 2 Opening

Students can be seen working hard in class or just hanging around in the halls. During lunch, you can work in the computer room, but be sure you get a pass from Mrs. Carenbauer before A period is over. Many students like to go to the library instead of study hall. They can be seen reading a magazine or working on a term paper. After school, there are many different activities, such as sports, auxiliary corps, and clubs.
